Significant But Subtle Blessings

There are a lot of reasons why I love Conference. My faith is boosted and the more I feel Heavenly Fathers love.

One of my favorite talks this 183rd Semi Annual Conference is the talk of Elder David A. Bednar. He talks about the blessings of tithing. I was teary eyed when he mentioned there are significant but subtle blessings we sometimes overlook. I realized more how blessed I am. Since I became a member of the Church, I paid an honest tithe. I was blessed with wisdom how to use the remaining 90 percent.

Elder Bednar mentioned that sometimes we humans have the tendency to look for temporal blessings. Yes, temporal blessings come for sure. In my case I consider having good health as a blessing. I get sick at times but not the point that I will be hospitalized. I have a good boss with a good job.

“Sometimes we may ask God for success, and He gives us physical and mental stamina. We might plead for prosperity, and we receive enlarged perspective and increased patience, or we petition for growth and are blessed with the gift of grace. He may bestow upon us conviction and confidence as we strive to achieve worthy goals. And when we plead for relief from physical, mental, and spiritual difficulties, He may increase our resolve and resilience. David A. Bednar
